Dr. Andrew Badalamenti, board-certified in cardiovascular disease is a distinguished physician with a commitment to excellence in cardiovascular medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree summa cum laude from the University of Texas Medical Branch after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado, Boulder. As Chief Interventional Cardiology Fellow and Chief Cardiology Fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dr. Badalamenti honed his skills and gained extensive experience in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. His dedication to research has led to notable contributions, including research on prosthetic valve degeneration in carcinoid heart disease and D-dimer assessments in venous stent thrombosis. He has received recognition, such as the Outstanding Clinical Fellow Award from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and being named a Practice of Medicine Essay Award Finalist by the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Badalamenti is an active member of professional societies, including the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association, and has been involved in extracurricular activities, serving in leadership roles within medical organizations.
