Dr. Rakesh Shah is a multiple board-certified Cardiologist by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease. Additionally, he is board certified in Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Shah has been practicing for over 25 years and has extensive experience in Trans-radial Interventional Cardiovascular procedures & some of the most complex Coronary and Peripheral vascular interventions besides structural procedures such as TAVR, WATCHMAN and Mitra Clip. His special interest includes treating complex lipid and advanced heart failure patients. He is actively involved in multiple clinical trials at Bay Area Heart as Principal Investigator.

Dr. Rakesh Shah accepts most major insurance plans and is accepting new patients. Dr. Shah speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati. He is an avid runner and enjoys hiking.

Dr. Shah currently sees patients in our offices at Bay Area Heart and at Texas Medical Center. He holds privileges at HCA Clear Lake, HCA Mainland and Methodist Clear Lake, and is in the process of obtaining privileges at Memorial Hermann Southeast.
